Why we built Nuntly
I’ve spent 15+ years building software and another 10+ years working on infrastructure at scale, from DevOps/SRE roles to Head of Infrastructure at Ogury and most recently VP Platform at Brevo. And yet, despite all these years and roles, I’ve always considered myself a developer first. That perspective has shaped how I think about platforms: they should empower engineers, not get in their way.
Every time I worked with existing ESPs, the same frustrations came back. They’re dinosaurs of a past era — designed for marketers and sales teams, not developers. Stuck in legacy patterns, they’ve stopped innovating. That outdated model doesn’t belong in 2025 — and it never matched my vision of what modern developer experience and infrastructure should be.
At Brevo, I saw this even more clearly: the company targeted marketing and sales as its primary users, while developer experience remained an afterthought. That led me to a simple question: what if an email platform was designed from the ground up with developers at the heart?
That question became the foundation for Nuntly. We believe an email platform can be developer-friendly without sacrificing core pillars like deliverability, reliability, compliance, and security. Inbox placement is non-negotiable — and so is developer experience.
