Nuntly vs Resend
Looking for a Resend alternative?
Nuntly adds fast API send latency, deep-stack unified observability, EU data hosting, and predictable pricing to the developer-first email experience you expect.
Free plan available. No credit card required.
Resend is a popular developer-focused email API. Nuntly offers a similar developer-first experience with key differences: a complete inbound email stack (inboxes, threads, messages, namespaces, and Reply API), EU data hosting by default, unified deep-stack observability, and predictable pricing from a bootstrap company.
- Both are developer-first email platforms with REST APIs, modern SDKs, 30-day log retention, and support for sending and receiving email
- Nuntly provides a complete inbound email stack with 25 dedicated receiving endpoints, EU data hosting by default, unified deep-stack observability, and first-party webhook delivery with no external processors like Svix
- Resend has limited receiving features (4 endpoints, no inbox management), no fully EU-hosted option, uses Svix to deliver webhooks, and VC-backed pricing that already doubled in 2024
Why developers choose Nuntly over Resend
The differences that matter most when choosing an email platform.
Sending and receiving in one API
Nuntly handles both outbound and inbound email from a single platform with 25 dedicated receiving endpoints. Resend covers email receigning with only 4 endpoints and no inbox management features.
Full inbound email management
Nuntly provides a complete inbound email stack: inboxes, threads, messages, namespaces, and a Reply API, all accessible via REST. Resend offers a single inbound webhook with no inbox management, no threading, and no namespace management.
Unified deep-stack observability
API logs, email flow, delivery events, and webhooks in a single unified view with 30-day retention. No more switching between disconnected screens.
Matched 30-day log retention with deeper visibility
Nuntly retains every email event for 30 days, the same window as Resend, but surfaces it inside a unified API logs + delivery events + webhook view. Resend shows the same events scattered across disconnected screens with no unified timeline.
Predictable pricing
Bootstrap company with stable, transparent pricing. No VC-driven price hikes that double your costs overnight.
EU data hosting by default
All data stored and processed in Europe with first-party webhook delivery. No external data processors like Svix in your data flow.
Fast API send latency
Optimized for speed at every volume tier. Every millisecond matters when you send transactional emails at scale.

Nuntly
Resend
Cost Effective
Both offer free plans for getting started. Nuntly is a bootstrap company with predictable pricing.
Resend already doubled its pricing in October 2024 (200k emails/mo: $80 to $160). Expect more increases ahead.
Email Receiving
Resend supports inbound webhooks, but has no inbox management API, no thread grouping, no multi-tenant namespace support, and no AI agent integration. Nuntly provides a complete inbound email stack out of the box.
Observability
Nuntly provides a unified view of API logs, email flow, delivery events, and webhooks in one place. Resend has no unified view. Both retain logs for 30 days. Nuntly bounce events include the exact recipient address. Resend bounce events do not.
Security
Nuntly stores all data in Europe by default with built-in GDPR compliance. Resend stores data in the US. Resend relies on Svix to process and send webhooks, adding another third party to your data flow. Nuntly handles webhook delivery in-house with no external processors.
Developer Experience
Both platforms offer a clean REST API with good documentation.
Advanced SDKs
Both platforms offer TypeScript and Java SDKs with idempotent request support. Nuntly SDKs are generated from a single specification, guaranteeing consistency across languages. Resend hand-codes each SDK separately. Nuntly also includes built-in retry logic and error handling at the SDK level.
Deliverability
Both platforms cover the fundamentals: DKIM, SPF, DMARC, dedicated IPs, and suppression lists.
Email Sending
Sending capabilities are equivalent for basic use. Nuntly lets you pass HTML, text, and a subject directly in a single API call with no pre-registration required. Resend templates require upfront creation, variable declaration, and publishing before they can be referenced in a send call.
API Performance
Nuntly is optimized for fast API send latency, which matters for high-throughput applications where every millisecond counts. Resend API latency is slower, and the difference adds up at scale.

Verify your domain
Add your sending domain and publish the DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records Nuntly generates for you. The verification flow works the same way as Resend (publish records in your DNS, wait for propagation), but the records themselves are Nuntly-specific and must be published alongside or in place of the Resend ones.
Swap the SDK
Replace @resend/node with @nuntly/sdk. The API surface is similar: nuntly.emails.send() accepts the same fields. If you use React Email, render your templates to HTML and pass them to Nuntly.
