Nuntly is built and operated by Olivier Bazoud, trading as an Entreprise individuelle registered in Chatillon, France. There is no team of anonymous support agents and no sales-driven roadmap, just one developer building the email platform he wished existed. Nuntly, from the Latin nuntius

The name comes from nuntius, Latin for messenger, the root behind words like “announce” and “pronounce” in modern English. A modern “-ly” suffix was added to turn that root into a name that reads like a contemporary product, not a Latin lesson. A messenger's job runs both ways: carrying a message out, and reporting back on what happened to it. That is exactly what a developer integrates against, webhooks and delivery status included, not just an email that leaves and is never heard from again, on EU-hosted infrastructure and under GDPR compliance.

15+ years in software, 10+ years running infrastructure at scale

Before Nuntly, Olivier spent 15+ years building software and another 10+ years working on infrastructure at scale, from DevOps/SRE roles to Head of Infrastructure at Ogury and, most recently, VP Platform at Brevo, one of the largest email platforms in the world. Despite the seniority of those roles, he has always considered himself a developer first, a perspective that shaped how Nuntly is built: platforms should empower engineers, not get in their way.

Built for developers, not just marketers

At Brevo, developer experience remained an afterthought while marketing and sales stayed the primary focus. That gap raised a simple question: what if an email platform were designed from the ground up with developers at the heart? Nuntly is the answer, built on the belief that an email platform can be developer-friendly without sacrificing deliverability, reliability, compliance, and security.

EU hosting, by default

Nuntly's transactional and inbound email API runs on Amazon Web Services, with data hosted in the EU (Dublin, Ireland) by default on every plan, including the free one. EU residency is the standard here, not a paid upgrade. Enterprise customers with a specific residency requirement can discuss additional regions, including fully isolated deployments.
